dPixel s.r.l. (www.dpixel.com) is a venture capital firm specializing in incubation, startup, seed, and early stage investments in the high technology, mobile, Web and digital media sectors. Many of its portfolio companies are based in Italy focused on opportunities in the digital media market, including interactive and digital content, digitization of processes, software technology platforms, and distribution-based businesses. Founded in 2008 and based in Milano, Italy, dPixel is seed stage advisor to Digital Investments SCA Sicar, an investment company chartered in Luxembourg and is advisor to the Telecom Italia "Working Capital" Accelerator.
Principia SRG
One of Italy’s leading venture capital firms, Principia SGR (www.principiasgr.it) invests in early stage and startup companies through its two closed-end funds ("Principia" and "Principia II"), with 90 million Euros under management. The Principia II fund, which invested in CrowdEngineering, has a budget of more than 63 million Euros, of which 50 percent is underwritten by the Italian government’s Department for the Digitisation of Public Administration and Technological Innovation. The Department is part of Italy’ s Ministry of Public Administration & Innovation (http://www.funzionepubblica.gov.it), whose charter is to support innovation in processes or products through increasingly pervasive digital technologies.
